Love Day 17: Love is Patient

I'm not a very patient person. I also don't have to think a lot before acting. If I feel something strongly enough I do it. It's not really an impulsive things with me since I will ask myself questions and have learned not to give quick responses. I know about wait time and better outcomes. Having said that, I am  a fire sign, an activator and an initiator. If I love you I will tell you. If I think something is worth trying, I try it without being too concerned about the outcome.

Yet the many quotes about love is patient must have some wisdom.

Lyman Abbott may have described the kind of patience I am working on and practicing (and practice is not perfect). The author and theologian wrote: Patience is passion tamed.

Passion I do not need practice with. I am taming it so I can give it full run later on.

Let's consider another bit of wisdom. Patience is the ability to let your motor idle when you feel like stripping your gears. (Barbara Johnson) Was she talking directly to me?

I don't want to strip the gears. It's not good for the car and that's what takes you where you're going.

There's an Irish saying that translates to Patience Can Conquer Destiny.

That is my intention. Destiny needs to unfold and patience is part of the destiny process. I have it on good faith from best friends to my trusted energy and tarot reader that patience is exactly what's needed. And so it is a practice and I fall off the waiting wagon sometimes, but as I said to a friend last night "I have committed to things being a little weird right now. I am committed to waiting" Maybe waiting will lead to commitment.

Leo Tolstoy wrote that The two most powerful warriors are Patience and Time.  Rainer Maria Wilke said Be Patient to all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves.

I am exploring love and commitment and patience. I think the three are a good match for each other and learning patience will strengthen the other two, when they arrive.

There's that divine intervention thing, and "Anything is possible when you're sowing the seeds, sowing the seeds of love."
