Mercury & Mars Retrograde Survival Guide

Mercury retrogrades in Taurus from April 28th at 1:20 pm through May 22nd at 9:20 am EDT. Mars also retrogrades, in Sagittarius, from April 17th at 8:14 am EDT to June 29th  at 7:38 pm EDT. In fact, during May, 5 planets are retrograde. First and foremost, don't try to push things through by sheer force or manipulation. If you can, avoid a grand opening or important announcement that needs to be clearly understood and well received. Expect many things to go slowly. Agree to a temporary plan rather than a long term situation or relationship at least until Mercury is direct in late May. 

Now for the good stuff...Forgive, reunite, vacation, experiment, and keep flexiblity in your plans. If you're not rigid or full of idealistic expectations, this can be a very creative time to ground in what matters to you most (because that's how Taurus is. Grounded in pleasures, the senses, projects and cherished relationships).

Reunite with friends or former colleagues you've lost touch with. This is especially true for Cancer, Capricorn, and Taurus.

Reestablish relationships with siblings and your parents or others you grew up with. If you're an Aquarius, Taurus or Pisces, you may find this doubly true.

Venus, nearby in Taurus, will lead some people to revisit a love relationship to see if it has a chance this time. Scorpio, Taurus, Cancer and Capricorn, you're most likely to reignite the flame.  (Do so with an open mind and a bit of reserve. You could change your mind before spring is over. But maybe not.)

Enter your creative process, go back to what's unfinished, and rediscover something you really enjoy. Since Mercury is in Taurus, hands on work and projects are satisfying. 

Slow down. Consider delays a gift since they buy you more time to figure things out and make final decisions.

Vacation time is good now. (Keep a simple schedule and be flexible with changing plans)

Get upside down and see what the ceiling looks like from the floor. Mercury retrograde equals time for a new perspective.
